PhixFlow Ltd. is pleased to announce the release of PhixFlow 8.0.10. This page describes the improvements and fixes in this version. This minor release includes some important fixes.

Installing or Upgrading to PhixFlow Version 8.0.10

To install a new PhixFlow instance,

  1. Check the Compatibility Guide and Upgrade Planning for details of the PhixFlow system requirements and update any dependencies.   
  2. Follow the instructions in Installing PhixFlow.

To upgrade an existing PhixFlow instance: 

  1. Check the Compatibility Guide and Upgrade Planning for changes to the system requirements or supported database versions. For example, you may need to upgrade your database or Java version.
  2. Ensure you have a backup of the database before upgrading PhixFlow.
  3. Follow the instructions in Upgrading PhixFlow. There are no special instructions for upgrading to PhixFlow 8.0.10. However, if you are upgrading multiple versions, remember to check the Special Upgrade Instructions.

Features and Improvement

DEV-6906  Styles for column headers on grids will now also apply when the headers are multi-line (group) headers. 

DEV-6927  The stream view property Advanced → Show records count is now correctly applied to stream views when they are used as a layout component.

DEV-6953  In a grid with a drop-down list, where the list depends on the data in the selected row, PhixFlow now correctly updates the filter when the user clicks into a different row.


Bug Fixes

Can I leave these out?

DEV-nnnn  tbc-6871  None - message change
A user who does not have permission to view an action double clicking on a grid row which has that action as it's double click action will no longer get an error message telling them that the action could not be found.

DEV-6969  None - reported internally, but symptoms seem unrelated to fix.
Dashboards with form views will no longer fail to display the form view.

DEV-6972  TODO
If you have an obfuscated field (for example the password for file import) you have to click off the field before clicking on the confirm button or it will not have saved the value to the form.

DEV-6986  Dashboard elements now refresh appropriately when there are dashboard elements set to always refresh, except on first load. will no longer refresh early when selecting something from a drop down on that element.

Dashboard property → Data Retrieval Options → Refresh When Dashboard Refreshes? → Always except on first load.

DEV-6999  PhixFlow now automatically refreshes dashboards even when they contain many elements.
