The Installation Guide explains how to install PhixFlow. This explains how to install TomcatThere are 3 stages to installing a new version of PhixFlow

Stage 1: Planning

Before you intend to install or upgrade PhixFlow, make sure you know what changes you need to make to your existing infrastructure. You may need to upgrade your database or the Java runtime library.

There is help and information in:

• Compatibility Guide and Upgrade Planning: a list of the third-party software dependencies for each version of PhixFlow.
• Planning your PhixFlow System: what to think about.

Stage 2: Update Dependencies

A week before the planned installation or upgrade, update any infrastructure. For example databases, Tomcat, Java, drivers. 

Stage 3: Backup

If you are upgrading an existing PhixFlow instance, remember to take a backup of your existing system.

Stage 4: Install or Upgrade PhixFlow

Stage 5: Configuration

Once PhixFlow is up and running, you will need to configure system properties through System Configuration.

The Compatibility Guide and Upgrade Planning gives the allowed versions for third-party software dependencies.

Upgrade

The majority of PhixFlow upgrades are very simple and are applied by following the standard instructions. However, well in advance of each upgrade, please check:

Compatibility Guide and Upgrade Planning for information to help you plan if you need to upgrade a database upgrade or install an updated version of the Java runtime.

Release special instructions:Very occasionally there are also special instructions for an upgrade. These can all be viewed from Compatibility Guide and Upgrade Planningcan configure:
