By the end of this section you will be able to:

• Set a default sort order on a view

Find the table for this exercise:

1. Open the model Dashboards Screens and Forms 01-08: Views, filters and dashboardsscreens
2. Open the table configuration form for Overall Debt Levels, and go to the Sort Orders section.
3. Add a sort order:
   1. Press 

      Insert excerpt
      _addIcon _addIcon nopanel true

      .
   2. Name: PaymentMeans,DebtLevel.
   3. Press

      Insert excerpt
      _finish _finish nopanel true

      .
   4. Press 

      Insert excerpt
      _table_attributes_show _table_attributes_show nopanel true

      .
   5. Add PaymentMeans to the list of sorting attributes.
   6. Leave this as ascending.
   7. Add DebtLevel to the list of sorting attributes.
   8. Update this to descending - click on the arrow, it will reverse the direction.
   9. Press 

      Insert excerpt
      _finish _finish nopanel true

       to save the sort order.
4. Open the screen Overall Debt Levels
5. Open the configuration form for the view Overall Debt Levels
6. Set this as the Default Sort Order.
7. Press 

   Insert excerpt
   _finish _finish nopanel true

   to save your changes.
8. Go into

   Insert excerpt
   _app_mode _app_mode nopanel true

    to see the results.

Add a further sort order to the table:

1. Name: PaymentMeans,CalculationDate
2. Sort by PaymentMeans (ascending), CalculationDate (ascending)
