Function: changeCharset()

Interprets the incoming binary string using the specified character set. Auto-detection of the charset is supported by providing a value of "auto" or "null" in the charset parameter.

Syntax

changeCharset(value, charset)

  • "auto", automatically detects
  • "default", uses the platform default
  • "binary", treats the input as a binary string
