Overview

This page explains how to change your application icon and the default components. For all of the options you can change for an application, see Application Properties.

Changing the Application Icon

There are two places where PhixFlow displays an icon for the application:

  • In the  the header bar when the application is loaded:
  • On the application menu:

To select an alternative image, it must first be uploaded to the PhixFlow database; see Adding Images.

To change these icons:

  1. Open the application.
  2. Click

  3. In Application Logo, select the image you want to use in the header bar.
    When you click this logo, PhixFlow opens the application menu.
    We recommend that the application logo arebe:
    • height: up to 40 pixels
    • width: up to 300 pixels.
  4. In Application Icon, select the image you want to use in the application menu.
    We recommend that application icons are:
    • height: up to 100 pixels
    • width: 100 to 150 pixels.

Form Fields

PhixFlow uses a default component components to automatically add a component specific Form Field when you drag tables or attributes data onto a screen canvas. For example, if you drag by dragging an attribute with a string data type onto the canvas, of string onto a screen PhixFlow adds a form field for a string.

If you want to use default components from another package template, first add the package to your application:When you create an application by selecting a Template Package, such as Serene Grey, all of the default components are set for you automatically based on this package. 

Viewing Default Form Fields

  1. Open the application.
  2. Click

  3. In the Styles Tab → Default Components are all of the defaults for your application.

Change a Default Component

  1. Open the application.
  2. Click

     → Packages section, show the list of packages and drag in any other packages that you want to use.

To change specific components:

  1. Default Components section

  3. Drag the component you require into the default component field in the application properties, as shown below:

If your template is in a package, ensure this is associated with your application so that it is available:

    1.  to view a list of packages in your instance of PhixFlow and drag in any packages that you want to associate with your application.

    Creating New Default Components

    To keep a default component, but to change it's style

  • Click on the field heading for a component, for example, Date Component >. The heading acts as a link to open the properties of the selected component.

    Default Styles for Grids

    In the same way, a template package sets the default components for your application, it also defines the styles used by the Grids/Tables in your application.

    Viewing and Editing Grid Styles

    1. Open the application.
    2. Click

    3. In the

       change the styles;  NoteTake care before you edit a shared style, as this affects all instances of the component. See Screen Styling for information about how different types of style are applied → Style Settings, are all of the styles for the grid in your application.
    4. These styles can be changed for your own styles, simply click the:

         button to list the available styles and drag the required one into the input field.

         to create a new style and this is automatically applied to the grid stying.
