Argument | Type | Description |
---|---|---|
geometryValue | WTK String or Geometry Object | The geometry the calculation is formed around provided in either data type. |
Distance | Float | The size of the buffer area to be used. |
decimalPlaces | Integer | The number of decimal places to use in the geometry calculations. Defaults to 0 if not provided. Can also take negative values e.g. -1 uses geometry to the nearest 10. |
quadrantSegments | Integer | The number of line segments used to represent the quadrant of a circle where the buffer boundary contains circular arcs. Defaults to 8 if not provided. |

geoBuffer("POLYGON ((30 10, 40 40, 20 40, 10 20, 30 10))", 10)
Returns a geometry Geometry of the buffer area.
