This form allows you to define Create multi-column sort orders for Stream Datastream data.

Note that : sorting large amounts of data can take some time. To ensure that data is returned as quickly as possible, use filters to ensure that only the data you need is sorted. If there are particular sort orders which need to be applied across large sets of data, please contact PhixFlow Support for help with tuning your PhixFlow instance.

Form: Sort Order Details

The following fields are shownTo create a sort order, configure the following fields:

Stream Attributes Orders.The Stream Attributes that are for display Actions possible on this list are:
  • Add Attribute: Drag one or more items from the "Stream Attributes" list.
  • Remove Attribute: Drag one or more items off the "Order Attributes" list and drop anywhere.
  • Change Attribute Order: Move an attribute up or down the sort order by dragging and dropping the attribute within "Order Attributes" list.
  • Toggle Attribute Sort Order : The icon next to the attribute in the "Order Attributes" list indicates the sort order direction. Click this icon to reverse the sort order.

    Sort Order Attributes

    To add attributes, press Image Added and drag, and drag stream attributes into the list of sort order attributes.

    For each sort order attribute, configure the following fields:

    OrderThe order that the sorting will be applied
    NameThe name of the stream attribute - in the sort order attribute editor, this is read-only.
    Direction

    One of:

    (A-Z) - ascending, e.g. A to Z, 1 to 9, earliest to latest date

    (Z-A) - descending, e.g. Z to A, 9 to 1, latest to earliest date

    DescriptionDescription of the sort order attribute.
    Access Permissions
    All Users Can View Sort Order

    If checked, this specifies that all users can view this sort order by default (provided they have the basic privilege to view sort orders).

    If this field is not checked, then access to the underlying data is controlled by dropping user groups onto the "User Groups" grid.

    Note that the default setting for this field is controlled by the system parameter allowAccessToDataByDefault.
