Overview

If you have loaded data into an ERD and wish want to change the data types of or any of the attributes you will first need to rollback attribute data types, first roll back the data in the table. If you wish to To reimport the data and or import more data you will need to create different data, use an analysis model; see Analysis Models for Batch Processing Data. 

Rolling Back Data in an ERD

The following instructions explain how to roll back all the data in a table, so that you can change an attribute's data type.

1. Open the properties of the table you want to clear.
   From the more menu, click Show StreamSetsFor example, in the ERD, click on the table.
2. In the table properties toolbar, click 

   Insert excerpt

    to open the menu.
3. Select

   . PhixFlow opens a window listing all the recordsets.
4. Right-click and select Rollback Streamset.Tick on the first run that you want to roll back and select

5. PhixFlow opens the Rollback window.

   • Select Rollback all data.
   • Untick Keep Old

6. If you are sure you want to clear all data, click Confirm.

To import data to PhixFlow, create an analysis model

1. Click Analysis from In your application 's home page.Click Add and follow the promptsHome page, click Analysis.
2. Click

    from the canvas toolbar, this will list all available . PhixFlow guides you through the process of creating and naming an analysis model.
3. In the model toolbar, click

    to list the tables in your application.
4. Drag the a table onto the canvas.Move your mouse
5. Mouse-over the Table, from the hover menu select the Show Inputs button (back arrow).
6. This adds the File Collector used to import your file into PhixFlow.
7. Move your mouse over the file collector, from the hover menu select table to display the popup toolbar. Click

8. PhixFlow adds a

    to the model.
9. Mouse-over the file collector to display the popup toolbar. Click

10. Select PhixFlow opens file browser window. Navigate to your file from the popup and click Open then Upload Managed Filethen

11. Mouse-over the Table again, from the hover menu table again and select

13. The file has been read into PhixFlow.
14. PhixFlow runs the analysis model to load the file into the table. Check that the data has loaded correctly; see Viewing Data in a Table for information on viewing your new data.
