This page provides details of the properties for screen rules, which is part of an configuring actions.

Overview

When you set action completion, you can set which

dashboard

screen to open after the action has run.

Action →

 

  1. In the action/table-action properties → Action Completion section
:
  • Open Post Dashboard
  • Dashboard Rules available if Open Post Dashboard

A list of dashboards that can be opened after this action, for each one a rule to determine whether this is the dashboard that will be opened.

The first dashboard whose expression evaluates to true will be opened. Only this dashboard will be opened. If none of the expressions evaluates to true, no dashboard will be opened.

For each dashboard rule define the following fields:

  • Order: The order in which the rules are evaluated.
    • Dashboard: The dashboard
    1. , tick Open Post Screen to display the Screen Rules section.
    2. Click

       to open the properties for a new screen rule.
    3. Select the Screen that will be opened if the accompanying expression evaluates to true.
    4. Specify an Expression that evaluates to true or false. If true, or blank, this screen will be opened once the action has completed.
    5. Specify the Order in which the screen rules are evaluated.

    Action Completion

    FieldDescription

    The screen that will be opened if the accompanying expression evaluates to true.

    Expression
    : If this

    An expression which must returneither true or false for the rule to be omitted. When the expression evaluates to:

    • true, this
    dashboard
    • screen will be opened once the action has completed.
    A FieldDescription
    •  A blank (null) expression counts as true.

    Action Completion

    • false, this screen is not opened

    If none of the expressions evaluates to true, no screen will be opened.

    OrderThe
    sequence number this will be run in.DashboardThe dashboard that will be opened if the accompanying
    order for this screen rule to run. This is important because the first screen whose expression evaluates to true will be opened.
    ExpressionThe PhixScript expression which must return true, for the rule to fire or false for the rule to be omitted
    And only this screen will be opened.
