By the end of this chapter you will be able to:

Using Show All Successors and Show All Predecessors to add components to a model view

  1. Create a new model and give it a name.
  2. Drag the table Latest Package Update (you created this table in exercise 11) on to the model.
  3. Right-click on the table Latest Package Update and select 
    Insert excerpt

  4. All the components that are used to build the data in this table appear in the model.
  5. Right-click on the table Latest Package Update and select

  • Predecessor and Successor options are available from the hover menu on many objects.
  • You can use Show All Successors on collectors
    You can use Show All Predecessors on exporters

Using Show Models to list models which an object appears in

  1. Open the list of tables in the repository.
  2. Find the table Latest Package Update.
  3. Right-click on the table and select 
    Insert excerpt

  4. All the models this table appears in will be listed.
