By the end of this exercise you will be able to:

Finding Streams and Stream Data

The data contained in the stream will appear.

Create New Stream View

You will create a new grid view to show the data in the stream in a table format.
To do this you must create a Stream View:

First create a dashboard:

Now create a new view on the dashboard:

To recap, the steps in the video were:

You can also see your new view in the list of views for the stream:

Editing a Stream View

You can edit details of the view in the configuration form, but there are a number of change you can make directly to the view in the dashboard:

Re-order columns

To re-order columns:

If you fix the width of a column, you can return it to being a flex column:

Quick filtering

As well as building permanent filters (you will do this in the next exercise), quick filters are available to you and the users you are creating this view for. To use a quick filter:

Quick sorting

As well as building permanent sort orders (you will do this in a future exercise), you can apply a quick sort:

All of the view operations you have just performed are also possible on grid view of configuration data - with the exception of re-ordering columns.

Open the stream Overall Debt Levels, in the list the of stream attribute try each of:

  • Freeze and unfreeze columns (make the repository browser narrow, so that you see a horizontal scroll bar, to see the effect of this)
  • Fix the width of a column, then drag the repository browser out so that all columns widen, other than the column you fixed
  • Use quick filters to find an attribute containing the text Means
  • Clear the filter
  • Sort the attributes by attribute name
