Stream View Order

Create multi-column sort orders for stream data.

Note: sorting large amounts of data can take some time. To ensure that data is returned as quickly as possible, use filters to ensure that only the data you need is sorted. If there are particular sort orders which need to be applied across large sets of data, please contact PhixFlow Support for help with tuning your PhixFlow instance.

To create a sort order, configure the following fields:

Field	Description
Name	The name of the sort order.
Sort Order Attributes
A list of the stream attributes used to sort the data. To add attributes, press and drag, and drag stream attributes into the list of sort order attributes. For each sort order attribute, configure the following fields:
Order	The order that the sorting will be applied
Name	The name of the stream attribute - in the sort order attribute editor, this is read-only.
Direction	One of: (A-Z) - ascending, e.g. A to Z, 1 to 9, earliest to latest date (Z-A) - descending, e.g. Z to A, 9 to 1, latest to earliest date
Description	Description of the sort order attribute.
Access Permissions
All Users Can View Sort Order	If checked, this specifies that all users can view this sort order by default (provided they have the basic privilege to view sort orders). If this field is not checked, then access to the underlying data is controlled by dropping user groups onto the "User Groups" grid. Note that the default setting for this field is controlled by the system parameter allowAccessToDataByDefault.

The form provides the standard form icons as well as the following:

This icon is available when this form has been opened from a Stream Data Grid. Pressing the icon causes the grid to be refreshed with data sorted according to the defined order (but without saving the order).
