Forms: Download Data
Clicking on any form showing Stream Data (either a grid or chart) will open the form described here and allow options to be selected before downloading the associated data as an Excel file, a CSV (comma separated) file or as an HTML file (shown in the browser). This same option form can be shown by using the Download option on the context menu after right-clicking on a Chart.
Form: Download Data Options
Field | Description |
---|---|
Items to Download |
If there are selected items on the grid, this field allows you to specify
whether just the selected items should be downloaded or whether all items
implied by the filter should be downloaded.
Please be aware that if you choose to download all items, on some grids this might mean that PhixFlow would begin downloading a very large number of items e.g. millions of records. This may take quite some time so please be sure that you want to do this before proceeding. If you choose to download just selected items, PhixFlow will set a limit of 500 records. |
Maximum Records Per File |
When you want to download a large number of records (e.g. more than 50,000) PhixFlow can
split the results into several files and "zip" these together before downloading. This field
specifies the maximum number of records to place in any one file.
If left blank, PhixFlow will export as many records in one file up to the default system-wide limit set on the System Configuration form (see field Maximum Page/Chart Size on the System Tuning Tab). |
Use Excel Template |
The setting on this field is only used when downloading to HTML. This field indicates whether
PhixFlow should use the Excel template associated with the
Stream View.
(Note that this template is set up on the
Stream View form). If selected,
PhixFlow will format the HTML according to the formats defined in the Excel spreadsheet.
Note that when downloading to Excel, PhixFlow will always automatically use the Stream View template (if configured). |
