This page is for administrators who need to set up a directory where PhixFlow can save files.

When PhixFlow generates CSV or Excel files, it saves them to a secure folder, called the download folder.  Set the location of the download folder in System Configuration → System Directories → File Download Location

Processes that save files to the download folder are:

  • exporting a configuration or stream data.
  • running an analysis model that exports a file
  • running an action in an application that exports a file.
  • Users can then access the folder to download a file.

Users can access the folder to download their files.

Data Security

PhixFlow automatically deletes files after a period of time. By default, files are available for 24 hours. You can set a different time period in System Configuration →  General Settings → File Download Expiry

You can configure PhixFlow to prompt users to specify a password when they start the process that generates the file. This causes PhixFlow to encrypt the file. You can also require users to supply the same password before they can download the file. to do this

  1. Define a Password Policy for the file passwords that users create and use it in System Configuration → Advanced → Export Password Policy
  2. In the User account properties, in the Export Password section, set the options as required.
