Overview

A package is a way to share resources between PhixFlow applications; see Understanding Template Packages. Template packages include a palette and default design configuration for your application.

Template packages only need to be installed once.

When you install a package on an instance of PhixFlow, the files and data it contains overwrites any existing files with the same name. This means you could lose any changes or customisation you have made.

Installing Template Packages

  1. Navigate to the Learning Centre, in the download section click on Serene Grey - Configuration to download it.
  2. From the  Administration menu, select Import Options →  Import Configuration
  3. Navigate to the downloaded template package and select it. Click OK
  4. Click  Upload
  5. When prompted, leave the password field blank
  6. Click ok and PhixFlow imports the package
  7. The package is now available on your system but must be associated to your application.

Associating Packages to an Application

New Applications using Template Packages

When creating a new application, PhixFlow will prompt you for which Template Package you wish to add to your application. PhixFlow then automatically configures your application to use this Template Package..

Existing Application (and Adding Additional Packages)

When you have an existing application, to add a package to the application:

  1. Open the Application's  Properties
    1. This can be achieved by right-clicking on the application in the repository and selecting  Edit
  2. On the  Properties tab, scroll down to the Packages section
  3. Click  Packages to list all the packages in the repository.
  4. Drag packages into this list.
  5. The package is now associated to your Application.
    1. Note this only creates an association which makes the resources in the package available to your application. If you want this a template package to be the default setup for you application contact PhixFlow Support.

To remove a package from the list, use the toolbar button  Delete.
