Function: geoIsValid(Geometry value)

Tests whether the geometry is topologically valid, according to the OGC SFS specifications.

If passed a string the geometry functions will automatically convert it into a geometry object.

Syntax

geoIsValid( geometryValue

geometryValue

WTK String or

Geometry Object

The geometry used by the calculation to determine if it is topologically valid.

Examples

geoIsValid("POLYGON ((30 10, 40 40, 20 40, 10 20, 30 10))")

Returns a Boolean true if the geometry is topologically valid, according to the OGC SFS specifications.
