When you have several instances of PhixFlow, for example development and production instances, you may want some item properties to be different for each instance. Use Protect on Import so that, when an item is exported then imported to a target instance, the property setting is not overwritten. If the item does not exist in the target instance, PhixFlow imports it, and Protect on Import has no effect.
