Overview
You can export an application, packages or selected items from PhixFlow. This is useful when you want to:

How To Export Items
You can choose what items to export from the Export Configuration window

Optionally enter a name and description for the file. The description will appear in
- the download area
- the header.xml file in the configuration export zip file
- log file messages generated by the export process and when the file is imported.
Click Export
...
- to ensure that the latest version of all the items the application uses are included.
- Full Configuration to export the entire system configuration.
File Name Enter a name for the export file. It is good practice to include the date/time of the export. Description Enter a description for the file. Click Export Configuration. PhixFlow generates the export file, and opens the Download Area window; see Using the Download Area.
Tip We recommend you download the file as soon as it is available, as your administrator may have set an expiry time.
Double-click your export file to download it from the PhixFlow database.
PhixFlow asks for a password it will use to encrypt the export file. Either use your default password or enter a new one.
Note Remember this password. You need to provide it when you import to another instance
- Click Confirm, then Download.
- PhixFlow saves the file to your local machine.
When you import an exported configuration to another instance, PhixFlow runs checks to make sure it has everything it needs. If it finds missing items, you may need to re-run the export including the required items; see Import Errors.
