Overview

Here are the most common tasks when it comes to updating application properties.  For a full list of editing options see This page explains how to change your application icon and the default components. For all of the options you can change for an application, see Application Properties.

Changing the

To edit the icon that appears on the application selection page:

There are two places where PhixFlow displays an icon for the application:

• In the header bar when the application is loaded:
  Image Added
• On the application menu:
  Image Added

To select an alternative image, it must first be uploaded to the PhixFlow database; see Adding Images.

To change these icons:

1. Open the application.Click Properties
2. Click 

   Insert excerpt
   _property_settings _property_settings nopanel true

   .
3. In Application Icon Logo, select the desired image from the drop down.
   1. This image should be held in your application. If you need to add an image see Adding Images.

1. you want to use in the header bar.
   When you click this logo, PhixFlow opens the application menu.
   We recommend that the application logo be:
   • height: up to

Change the Application Icon

To change the icon which appears in the header bar:

1. Open the application.
2. Click Properties.
3. In Application Logo select the desired image from the drop down.
   1. This image should be held in your application. If you need to add an image see Adding Images.

2. In Application Icon, select the image you want to use in the application menu.
   We recommend that application icons are:
   • height: up to

   • width:

Default

Default components are the components used to create specific types of object automatically. For example the template to use when we drag an attribute onto a screen to create a form field.

Form Fields

PhixFlow uses default components to automatically add a specific Form Field when you drag data onto a screen. For example, by dragging an attribute with a data type of string onto a screen PhixFlow adds a form field for a string.

When you create an application by selecting a Template Package, such as Serene Grey, all of the default components are set for you automatically based on this package. 

Viewing Default Form Fields

1. Open the application.
2. Click 

   Insert excerpt
   _property_settings _property_settings nopanel true

   .
3. In the Styles Tab → Default Components are all of the defaults for your application.

Change a Default Component

1. Open the application.
2. Click 

   Insert excerpt
   _property_settings _property_settings nopanel true

3. In the 

   Insert excerpt
   _property_tabs _property_tabs name style nopanel true

    → Default Components section
4. Click 

   Insert excerpt
   _template _template nopanel true

   . PhixFlow opens the repository, showing the available template components.
5. Drag the component you require into the default component field in the application properties, as shown below:

Creating New Default Components

Default Styles for Grids

In the same way, a template package sets the default components for your application, it also defines the styles used by the Grids/Tables in your application.

Viewing and Editing Grid Styles

1. Open the application.
2. Click 

   Insert excerpt
   _property_settings _property_settings nopanel true

3. In the 

   Insert excerpt
   _property_tabs _property_tabs name style nopanel true

    → Style Settings, are all of the styles for the grid in your application.
4. These styles can be changed for your own styles, simply click the:
   1.

      _styles_ccs _styles_ccs nopanel true

       button to list the available styles and drag the required one into the input field.

   2. Insert excerpt
      _addIcon _addIcon nopanel true

       to create a new style and this is automatically applied to the grid stying.
