This page is for any PhixFlow user who needs to check or update their user account details.
Overview
To open the User Details window, click the User Details icon in the bottom right of the PhixFlow window. The window has three tabs:
- Details: your user account details
- User Groups: the list of user groups to which you belong. Contact your PhixFlow administrator to change your user groups.
- Security Questions: The security questions and answers that you have configured.
User Groups Tab
This tab lists the user groups and any external login groups to which you belong. These groups control the PhixFlow features and data to which you have access.

Login Name | Your login name and the network domain are set by your administrator. Do not change these details. |

Show the Help Tab on Startup | Error rendering macro 'excerpt-include' : No link could be created for '_check_box_ticked'. to open the Help tab on the right of the Design Mode view the next time you log in. As long as this option is ticked, each time you log in, the Help tab will be opened. During a session, you can click X on the tab to close it.Untick to prevent the Help tab being opened at login. The Help tab provides a link to the PhixFlow help pages and Training Courses. |
Password | If you need to update your password, you can use these fields to enter and confirm your new password. Alternatively, you can reset your password from the login screen; see Password Reset. |

Security Questions Tab
You administrator can set up rules about how long passwords can remain valid; see Password Policy. Depending on the policy, when you reset a password you may be prompted for answers to security questions. Use the Security Questions tab to set up to 3 possible questions and the answers.
For example, you could set questions such as:
- the name of your first pet
- the make of your previous car
- your favourite food.
Click Apply and Close to save your answers.
The questions and answers are saved to your PhixFlow user account, which can be seen by administrators. Only use questions and answers that you have never used for any other system.
Export Password Tab
The options on this tab relate to files that PhixFlow is configured to export.
To ensure data security, PhixFlow always encrypts any files that it exports. PhixFlow saves the files to a specific download area. PhixFlow deletes files after a time period.
Your administrator sets the:
- download area System Configuration →System Directories → File Download Location
- how long files are available: System Configuration →General Settings → File Download Expiry.
If you download any of these files, you need a password to de-encrypt and open the file.

Export Password | Available when you have an export password. This field displays the password you can use to open encrypted files that PhixFlow has saved to the download area. |
