Apply an existing sort order
Open the dashboard User Course: Investigate Unbilled Spend.
In the data grid, press the button Select the order in which data is shown and select By Name.
You should now see the data sorted by FIRST_NAME.
Create a new sort order
Add an order to sort the data by CREDIT_CLASS, UNBILLED_SPEND:
- Press the button Select the order in which data is shown
- Press the '+' button (Create a new sort order)
- Drag CREDIT_CLASS into Order Attributes
- Drag UNBILLED_SPEND into Order Attributes
- Enter the Name: By credit class, spend
- Press OK
You should now see the data sorted by CREDIT_CLASS, UNBILLED_SPEND.
Edit an existing sort order
You decide that the sort order By Name should use the second name, not the first name to sort the data:
- Press the button Select the order in which data is shown
- Right-click on the entry By Name in the drop down list
- Select Edit
- Drag FIRST_NAME from Order Attributes to Stream Attributes
- Drag SECOND_NAME into Order Attributes
- Press OK
You should now see the data sorted by SECOND_NAME.
Remove a sort order
You decide to restore the data to its default ordering:
- Press the button Select the order in which data is shown
- Press the button Clear the current sort order
You will see the data return to its default ordering.
