There are 3 stages to installing a new version of PhixFlow
Stage 1: Planning
Before you intend to install or upgrade PhixFlow, make sure you know what changes you need to make to your existing infrastructure. You may need to upgrade your database or the Java runtime library.

Stage 2: Update Dependencies
A week before the planned installation or upgrade, update any infrastructure. For example databases, Tomcat, Java, drivers.
Stage 3: Backup
If you are upgrading an existing PhixFlow instance, remember to take a backup of your existing system.
Stage 4: Install or Upgrade PhixFlow

Once PhixFlow is up and running, you can configure:
- properties for the PhixFlow system: see System Configuration.
