By the end of this chapter you will be able to:

• Use Show All Successors to add components to a model view

Using Show All Successors and Show All Predecessors to add components to a model view

• Create a new model
• Drag the Stream Latest Package Update (you created this Stream in exercise 11.1) on to the model pane – remember that you can drag directly from another model view by holding down the shift key on your keyboard, selecting the stream (or any other type of modelling object) and dragging on to the new model view
• Right-click on the Stream and select Show All Predecessors
• All the components that are used to build the data in this Stream appear on the model pane
• Right-click on the Stream and select Show All Successors
• All the components that use the data in this stream appear on the model pane
• Right-click on the Stream Latest Package All Channels, and select Show All Predecessors
• All the components used to build this stream appear on the model pane

  You can use Show All Successors on collectors You can use Show All Predecessors on exporters

  Using Show Models to list models which an object appears in

• Open the list of streams from the left-hand menu bar
• Find the Stream Latest Package Update
• Right-click on the Stream and select Show Models
• All the models that this Stream appears in will be listed
• Double-click on one of the models listed to open it
