Using Show All Successors and Show All Predecessors to add components to a model view
- Create a new model
- Drag the table
Latest Package Update
(you created this table in exercise 11) on to the model. - Right-click on the table
Latest Package Update
and select Show all Predecessors. - All the components that are used to build the data in this table appear in the model.
- Right-click on the table
Latest Package Update
and select Show All Successors - All the components that use the data from this table appear on the model.
- Right-click on the table,
Latest Package All Channels
, and select Show all Predecessors. All the components used to build this table appear on the model.
- In the model window, click Save.
- Predecessor and Successor options are available from the hover menu on many objects.
- You can use Show All Successors on collectors
You can use Show All Predecessors on exporters
Using Show Models to list models which an object appears in
- Open the list of tables in the repository.
- Find the table
Latest Package Update.
- Right-click on the table and select Show Models.
- All the models this table appears in will be listed.
- The list of models is also available in the table's properties → Analysis Models section
- Double-click on one of the models listed to open it.
