By the end of this chapter you will be able to:
- Update the CenterView Instance name
- Update the application colours
- Update System Directories
- Update the Effective Date
Updating the CenterView Instance name
Open System Configuration, and go to the General Settings tab. Update the field CenterView Instance: enter the text Training Platform. Press OK.
You will need to reload the application to apply this update: go to Admin in the top menu bar, and select Reload Application.
You will now see the CenterView Instance displayed in the banner of the application. This option is useful for distinguishing different CenterView installations you have – e.g. development, test, production.
Updating application colours
A further way to distinguish different CenterView installations is to set the application colours. Open System Configuration, and go to the General Settings tab. Update the fields Colour of Windows with Focus, and Colour of Windows without Focus.
Reload the application to apply your updates.
Updating System Directories: the archive directory
Open System Configuration, and go to the System Directories tab.
Update the Archive Directory to a directory on your computer – this directory must exist on your file system before you update this parameter.
Archive the Stream Customer Info again, and check that the archive file is written to the directory you specified.
Updating Effective Date
Open System Configuration, and go to the Advanced tab.
Update the Effective Date to 26/03/2009. Run the Stream Customer Info again – you will see that a new Stream Set is generated up to the new effective date.
Effective Date is intended for use on development and testing installations of CenterView – never use this on a production installation. |
