Function: startsWith()

Returns True if a String starts with a given pattern otherwise returns False.

Syntax

startsWith(stringToTest, stringToLookFor)

Argument	Type	Description
stringToTest	String	The string to be searched.
stringToLookFor	String	The String to look for in stringToTest

startsWith("ABCDEF","ABC")

Returns True.

startsWith("ABCDEF","BC")

Returns False.

startsWith(in.prodCode,$prodSuffix)

Returns True if in.prodCode starts with the String contained within $prodSuffix.
