This page provides details of the properties for the open screen action node and associated expressions. These are part of actionflows.
Overview
To set the actionflow to close the active dashboard on completion, on the top right of the canvas, tick Close Parent Dashboard.

Basic Settings

Name | Enter the name for the action node. |
Show in the Explorer | An application can have many actionflows, and an individual actionflow can have many actions. This can lead to many items being listed in the repository. Use this option to omit the action from the repository. Tick to display this action node in the repository. Untick to omit this action node from the repository. |
Dashboard | Select a dashboard that the action will open. The dashboard can be selected using the drop down or List Screens. If the screen has not been created yet, create one using Add New. A warning symbol appears on the node if a screen has not been selected. |

Input Connection Points
Each open screen node has 1 primary input connection point by default called 'screen'. Connecting to this connection point opens the screen and allows the user to map the following screen properties. (may not happen for v9)

Once a screen has been attached to the open dashboard node an input connection point for each form on the screen is created. Each input connection point automatically has any data fields on the form (dynamic text or form fields) added as attributes. These attributes can be mapped to and supplied with data.
Each input connection point has the following properties:

A list of attributes available on the input connection point. These directly link to the fields available on the form. Only component connection points have attributes.
Calculate Action Expressions
Calculate actions process data using expressions; see pages in the topic Expressions and Scripts.
This section has a toolbar with standard buttons. The grid contains a list of the expressions that the calculate action will perform.
- To add a new expression, in the section toolbar click Add New to open a new expression and set the properties.
- To edit an existing expression, double-click it in the list to open its properties.
- To remove an expression, select one and in the section toolbar click Permanently Delete. Todo-Fiona - check icon and label.
The expression properties has sections for Parent Details , Audit Summary and the following Basic Settings:

Order | Where the calculate action runs multiple expressions, enter a number to indicate the order in which this expression will be run. Remember that an expression that generates a value should run before an expression that uses the value. |
