Task logs
By the end of this chapter you will be able to:

Order and filter Task logs
Open the Console. Go to the Completed Tasks section of the Task Logs tab. Press the button Select, create or clear a filter – you will see several standard filters. By default the Completed Tasks list is filtered to only show tasks that completed today. If you want to view tasks run on previous days you will need to select one of the other standard filters – or create your own.
Find the button Select, create or clear a filter in the Messages pane. Press this button – you will see a standard filter to select only the Errors in a log file. This is useful when a task has failed – and the log file is large. Using this filter will allow you to quickly find the errors that caused the task to fail.
Still in the Messages tab, click on any of the column headings. You will see that this orders the log messages by the values in that column – just as in a data grid.
You can order and filter records in the same way in the Imported/Export Files pane and the Alarms pane.
Export Task log data
Find the button Download to Excel in the Messages pane. Press this. You will generate an export of the log messages in an Excel file. This can be useful when reviewing log messages in detail, reporting problems to your colleagues, or even to the PhixFlow support desk!
You can export records in the same way from the Imported/Export Files pane and the Alarms pane.
View all log files for a Task Plan
In the left-hand menu bar press the button Show the list of Task Plans. Right-click on your Task Plan and select Show Log Files. All the log files generated by your Task Plan will be shown in the console.
