Reset Configuration

This Operation will delete all configuration data in the PhixFlow instance. Only use this functionality if you are absolutely sure you want to do this. Ensure you have a recent backup of you system to recover to in case you use this function in error.


Reset Configuration deletes all configuration data in the PhixFlow instance. To perform a configuration reset, complete the following process:

Allow Permission to Reset Configuration

  1. Go to System Configuration, press the 'Admin' button in the top right hand corner and select System Configuration' from the menu.
  2. The System Configuration form will open. Click on the 'Advanced' tab.
  3. Tick the 'Allow Reset Configuration' check box field and save the form, applying changes. This will allow the Administrator access to complete a reset within the next 5 minutes. If this period expires, this access will need to be set again.

Reset Configuration

  1. Press the 'Admin' button in the top right hand corner and select 'Reset Configuration'. 
  2. If permission has not yet been set to Reset Configuration or the 5 minutes window period has expired, a warning message will appear 'Please contact your System Administrator. Reset Configuration is not currently permitted. Click 'OK'. Permission to reset will need to be set again.
  3. If the Administrator has permission a 'WARNING RESET CONFIGURATION' dialog will be displayed.
  4. Please tick to confirm that you agree to delete all configuration data in the PhixFlow instance.
  5. Enter your user password and click OK.
  6. A final prompt dialog will open. 'This Operation will delete all configuration data in this PhixFlow instance' with option buttons 'Delete All Configuration' or 'Cancel'.
  7. Click 'Cancel' to stop this request or Click 'Delete All Configuration' do a configuration reset. After this action the Configuration Reset can not be stopped, all configuration data will be deleted.

Each Reset Configuration operation is logged to the Daily Log File.
