Formatting and Styling Grids and Charts

Overview

Grids and charts in PhixFlow can be formatted and styled. 

View Styles Tab

Changing the Chart Header

On the styles tab of a view property editor it is possible to change the style of the header and its components by adding a shared style to:

  • Grid Header Style
  • Grid Header Button Style
  • Grid Header Icon Style
  • Grid Header Dropdown Button Style
  • Grid Header Dropdown Pane Style

Changing grid styles

On grids it is also possible to change the style of the following using the styles tab:

  • Grid Paging Style

  • Grid Row Style

  • Grid Column Header Style

  • Row Selection Style

Charts

Colour Maps

The colours can be changed on pie charts, bar charts and line graphs using a colour map; see Colour Map.

Legends

To change how a legend is displayed on a chart:

  1. Right click on a chart and Show the view configuration.
  2. Open the Chart Layout section.
  3. Change any of the following:
    • Hide the legend by unticking Show Legend
    • Move the legend by ticking Show Legend Below the Chart
    • Hide numbers on the chart by unticking Show Values on Charts.

Axis Titles

Axis titles are only relevant to line and bar charts. Too add axis titles and style them:

  1. Right click on a chart and Show the view configuration.
  2. Open the Chart Layout section.
  3. Add a Horizontal Axis Title and/or a Vertical Axis Title.
  4. Select or add a Title Style in the field below each title.
  5. Change the Label Angle if required.

Axis Scales

Axis Scales are only relevant to line and bar charts. Too change and format axis scales:

  1. Right click on a chart and Show the view configuration.
  2. Open the Chart Layout section.
  3. Go to the section Show Vertical Axis.
  4. Optionally set the following:
    • Logarithmic scale
    • Minimum Value
    • Maximum Value
    • Fixed Scale
    • Vertical Axis Increment
    • Show Vertical Gridlines
    • Vertical Axis Number Format
    • Text Style
