Function: geoGetY(Geometry value, Decimal Places)

Returns the 'first' y coordinate. 

If passed a string the geometry functions will automatically convert it into a geometry object.

Syntax

geoGetY( geometryValue, decimalPlaces

geometryValue

Geometry Object

The geometry used to calculate the first Y coordinate.
decimalPlacesIntegerThe number of decimal places to use in the geometry calculations. Defaults to 0 if not provided. Can also take negative values e.g. -1 uses geometry to the nearest 10.

Examples

geoGetY("POLYGON ((30 10, 40 40, 20 40, 10 20, 30 10))")

Returns the 'first' y coordinate as a Float.
