PhixFlow Help

Export Pane

Configuration Export is the way that applications and miscellaneous configuration components are exported from PhixFlow. You may want to export your configuration for a number of reasons - e.g. to back up an application, or set of configuration components, you are working on; or so that you can import it somewhere else.

The Export Pane can be opened from the Administration Menu  in the bottom right of the PhixFlow window. The Configuration Export pane contains the list of objects that are to be exported.

The Data is exported to an XML file (format) for download via the browser. The export pane can also be used to copy a set of configuration components.

Drag and drop model elements (streams, collectors etc) from other panels into this pane and then hit the either the export or copy button.

A password may be specified on the export panel. If this is specified, passwords and user security questions in the exported configuration will be encrypted. The password can then be entered during the import process to import the passwords. If no password is entered during import, no encrypted details will be imported. If no password is specified during export, no passwords will be included in the exported configuration.
